Conserv-AI-tion: How Artificial Intelligence Will Protect Wildlife

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in wildlife conservation to help alleviate the biodiversity crisis and mitigate climate change impacts. Its applications include predictive models, which use AI to identify species and monitor biodiversity; decision-making algorithms that optimize resource allocation; and causal inference models that predict potential impacts of environmental changes and human intervention. Notably, the technology doesn’t replace human conservation efforts but aids in making them more efficient and effective.
